U17 - HYC

In February 1971, the foundation of HYC (Herentals Ice Hockey Club) became a fact. The opening of the ice rink was the basis here.

When registering with the Belgian ice hockey federation in September, HYC was assigned the number 7.

A milestone in HYC's history is the arrival of Canadian  Bill Morgan in 1976. Bill lingered here to strengthen the HYC ranks. And if history repeats itself: Bill's 3 sons are all talented ice hockey players!

In 1981 we won 3 titles: Champion of Belgium, Champion Dutch 2nd Division, Champion Coupe der Lage Landen. The great effort, despite the nightly training hours, made the opponents take HYC into account. And after these titles, HYC was able to regularly receive its cups.
