On October 21, 1938, the Tilburgsche IJs Sport Club (TIJSC) was founded. TIJSC's first match on March 3, 1938, against a team from Brussels, was lost 6-2. Fortunately, there is progress in the performance of the club: in the 1946/1947 season, the club can call itself official champion of the Netherlands for the first time. In 1964 the club continues under the name TIJSC Tilburg Trappers and many (national) titles are achieved.

With the IJssportcentrum Tilburg as its home base, the first team of the Trilburg Trappers has been playing in the German Oberliga Nord league since the 2015/2016 season
