For 40 years, ice hockey and Zoetermeer are a great combination. With the establishment of the ice hockey club Zoetermeer Panters, this combination was elevated to a professional level.At this moment the Zoetermeer Panters is one of the largest in the Netherlands. With 7 youth teams in the age of 4 to 20 years. Of which the 1st team plays in the premier league. The establishment of the ice hockey school ensures aspiring members to learn the basic skills before joining our U9 team. Our teams have a good mix of girls and boys, proving that ice hockey is a great sport for all. Besides our youth teams we are home to 4 recreational teams for adults and does the professional team play in the highest competition level of the Netherlands and Belgium, the BeNeleague. The training and competition restrictions of Covid had a big impact on our youth teams. With 2 years of hardly any training and game experience, we were glad we could finally start training and playing again in January 2022. We signed up for our first international tournament, which took place in Mechelen in April of that year. This event did create great team bonding and with a 5th place for our U11 team we knew we were on again. We look forward to this great Coldplay Sharks tournament again this year.
